You are looking at the beginnings of a new website for people living in Chirton and Conock. We do, of course, already have a site, which you can visit at thelocalchannel. We are building this new site in order to try out some alternative ways of putting Chirton on the web, and we will be asking as many people as possible to visit it and give us their opinions.

We are keen to make it informative, easy to use and entertaining. We want it to be a pleasant place to come and find out what's going on in the village and to read news of people and events that you may be too busy to keep up with by word of mouth.

If you have found the site already, we apologise for its inadequacies. Please keep revisiting it over the next few weeks to see it developing. Maybe you could also also persuade your friends, relatives, neighbours and anybody else to take a look.
