Safety Checks on Smoke and Deaf Alarms

The Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service is offering a free home safety check to people living alone, the elderly or those in vulnerable circumstances.

Renovation of the Hedge in Small Street

Work has begun on renovating a stretch of hedge in Small Street. This hedge has looked a mess for some time and your council decided to plant a new one. In time this will grow to match the other hedge running along the north side of the road towards Marden. The work is being done by DBM Landscapes.

We have been very fortunate in obtaining a generous grant from Sustain the Plain towards the cost of the project. We hope everyone living in the immediate area will benefit from the tidier appearance of this site.

Poppy Day Appeal

Very many thanks from the appeal organisers for the generosity shown by everyone in Chirton and Conock. The splendid total of £254.98 was collected.
